Dreamweaver — Herbal Extract

$55.00

Dreamweaver is a blend of four plant allies that help you to access the subtle realms with connection and clear vision. Mugwort, a lunar herb, wakes up ancestral wisdom and opens the gates to the dreamspace. Liliko’i blossoms unfurl to open the third eye, and support a relaxed and open state, while Blue Lotus brings in a heightened spiritual awareness of the pulse of creation. Rose softens the heart, helping us move through our experience with love and grace.

My Ritual: Seven drops of this elixir on my tongue before bed, along with a prayer, bring me vivid, and occasionally lucid dreams. The same ritual before meditation can deepen the journey and refine the visual experience.

Mugwort, Rose, Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea), Liliko’i, Hawaiian Cane Alcohol, Vegetable Glycerine

Kaua’i Grown. Always organic.

The tinctures I hand-craft are made from fresh, organic plant material grown on Kaua’i when possible, and usually from my garden or ethically wild-harvested. They are shelf-stable and will last for years. I consistently offer certain tinctures, and others vary depending on the growing season and what is abundant. Please consult with your medical provider before use, and do your research regarding contraindications and side-effects.

Reflections on Blue Lotus: In Egypt, blue lotus flowers are carved into walls and statues, painted on ceilings, and inscribed on papyri. It was a sacred sacrament for the ancient Egyptians, infused in oil, steeped in wine and used in important rituals and ceremonies. Now, we find teas and tinctures of Blue Lotus all over the internet, boasting spiritual properties and psychoactive effects. As I am sharing this new medicine that contains “Blue Lotus” I want to be transparent about what that means. Liam McEvoy at UC Berkley has done incredibly inspired research on this ancient plant. He’s discovered that Nymphaea caerulea, the true Egyptian Blue Lotus, is incredibly rare, and is actually not a lotus at all. It’s a lily. It contains much higher amounts of the psychoactive compound nuciferine than the other Nymphaea caerulea varieties, and the entirely other species, that are being sold as the sacred Blue Lotus. Although the Blue Lotus in this Dreamweaver tincture was grown on Kaua’i with seeds of Nymphaea caerulea from a reputable source, it is still very probable that this is not the exact same Blue Lotus that the Egyptians used in ancient times for spiritual connection. That being said, her form, her beauty, her pulsing in and out, open and closed, and her gentle life in the water, all offer the energetic signature of this sacred rhythm that she carries, and her medicine, although perhaps more subtle, is still incredibly deep.
